Jeffrey G. Scholz
Owner & Lead Instructor · 886 Consulting, LLCJeff Scholz created From Crisis to Calm® from the ground up, drawing on nearly 30 years in law enforcement including 16 years as a crisis negotiator and service as the Division Coordinator of the New York State Police Crisis Negotiation Program. Before founding 886 Consulting upon retirement in 2022, he oversaw training for more than 1,100 investigators and 3,000 troopers as Senior Investigator for BCI Training at the NYSP Academy.
As lead instructor, Jeff brings a classroom presence that is direct, credible, and grounded entirely in real-world experience. He has trained more than 2,000 professionals across 17 states in law enforcement, social services, healthcare, education, housing, and beyond. His instruction is built on the same standard he teaches: Professional Sincerity, authentic engagement, purposeful communication, and no filler.
